...Woke up to a dusting of snow on the ground and 30 degree temps, along w/ a 4.6 earthquake...

Teacher Walkout...
The teacher walk out begins week two, so I decide to go with my daughter and another principal from Sapulpa....As a mom, you support your kids, no matter the age. Besides, I also have one
g' daughter in our public schools w/ two more coming along soon.
On the first day of the walk-out, 40,000+ people gathered on the capitol grounds. Today, there were 55,000+ with tents scattered across the lawn.
..It was a beautiful day to fight for funding for our kids, our schools...
...Worming your way through the crowd was totally worth it..

...200+ "girl attorneys" dressed in black led by a drum line walked in to show their support for better educational funding and plans to help teachers to resolve some questions...
...Thank you for supporting my daughter, my g'daughter and many other kids in our public schools...

My birthday is coming...
Oh, my goodness,
my birthday that I use to dread is barreling down the pike faster than I could ever imagined... (just a few more days) After all, I was 25 a week ago!...lol!
I have grown up watching our world shift from "Father Knows Best" to Woodstock to Wendy Berlowitz sitting on Norman's Campus Corner strumming her guitar bra less.
...It was cool to be young and hopelessly sad to be old...
Now I look around and wonder...How did I get here?...it is scary and sad...there are many more days behind than ahead....so what's a girl to do?...have that Medicare card ready, turn up those Rolling Stones and love on my babies!...and pray!!!!
I have found I enjoy surrounding myself with friends of all ages...when you find people with like minds who share interests and joys of life, it is golden.
I no longer take my health for granted...I don't think any of us can afford to...In the past two years, I have had my first two surgeries, and I have become proactive with a cardiologist...I do need to get active again with a workout program and get involved in the life of my church.
I think about my family daily and how much I love them...they are the spirit that drives me!....
...I have lost track of whether the 60's is the new 50's or 40's...
...All that matters is to love and be loved....

This crazy weather...it's a fight! Is it spring or winter? Yesterday, it was spring.
Today, it is winter...It is cold and very windy...the next two nights we have a freeze warning.
...I AM READY for SPRING!...spring weather!...
And, we need moisture. The NW area of our state needs prayer. They are burning up with fires...
...Father, we pray that you cover this area with rain and calm the winds. Father, we also ask that you protect the families that live in this area, along w/ their homes, animals and towns....their livelihood is at stake with these fires spreading over thousands of acres. Again, Father, we turn to You for comfort and support for these families and firefighters...Amen!...

...three years later she still has them...
...tomorrow she goes to have them surgically removed...
...she hasn't had the best experiences at the doctors, so she doesn't do well...
...praying she drinks "the juice"...
...Father, I ask that you calm our bunny's mind and heart while the doctor surgically removes her butterflies. Also, I pray for her mother as she leaves with her dad after the surgery when I know Lindsay wants to hold and cuddle her, as any mother would. I ask that you wrap your loving arms around the bunny and her mother. Amen!...
