...they were told the percentage was low if they all made it through the metamorphosis...
...the bunny excitedly checked everyday when she was home w/ mom to see the changes...
...soon 5 cocoons/chrysalis appeared...
...Then, yesterday 5 butterflies emerged....
...when they opened the netting cage to feed them sliced peaches, one flew out but was caught and put back in ...
...and TODAY, before she left for her dads, she sadly released them to the outside world...

Dear Father, Please help our lil' bunny have a good night's sleep so she can wake up excited to begin this new season of her life...I am asking You, Father, to watch over our little as she begins school and protect her against negative influences...Help her be a light to others and help her to share love and respect to her classmates and teachers....Father, help her when she feels alone and afraid for You are there with her....Fill our little with fresh enthusiasm and a heart that is excited to learn and grow....Bless her teachers with wisdom and understanding as they embark on this journey together...Amen

Jet Stop...
...a lot of my family were brought to tears watching the destruction of Jet Stop being torn down...
...My parents built it in 1976 and my mom, more or less, managed it until they sold it around 2000...
...Along with my girls and their cousins, the marquee out front announced each of their births...
...also in their early years, my girls and nieces and nephews grew up in the candy aisle...
...I think I even splurged on a few pieces of "hot dog" gum...
...wishing I had pics of my dad and his cronies hanging out drinking coffee and telling their racetrack or oilfied stories....I'm sure many were just a
little fabricated...
...but, as we all know, time changes things and we must move onward...

Hurricane Harvey...
...It was labeled a hurricane 4 when it hit land around 10 pm on Friday...
...wind and rain continue to lash the coast as people assess their damages...
...so, thankful that my Texas guy and family made it w/ only minimal damage...

...Then, the storm rolled into the Houston area dumping 21 trillion gallons of rain on south Texas....WOW!!!

...sometimes 17 years seems forever, and then it seems just like yesterday when we lost him...

...Today, she is 17 years old...
...and definitely now deserves to live a lazy, dog's life...
...she has been on seizure meds since she was two, and the vet said that she probably wouldn't have a long life span....she overcame those odds although she is slowing down...
