January 2022

...Hope you had a wonderful time ringing in the new year!...
...Our new year, 2022, roared in with a cold blast after the afternoon high in the mid 40's,
dropping drastically to a temp of 13 degrees with wind chills making it colder, along
with a few snow flurries...
~~

Camera roll...
...a fun, rainy day activity from Uncle Roger & Aunt Debbie...
...making their stain glass butterfly...
~~

...No doubt, she loves her mommy...💕

Christmas gift exchange w/ Paul's kids...

...another chance to use my charcuterie board for appetizers, along w/ sub sandwiches,
eggnog and apple cider mimosas....
...It was a cold evening, but I still kept windows open for fresh circulation of air...

...What a glorious and mighty God we have...
...a panoramic view of God's finest....an evening sunset...
...Our holiday snowman is looking for snow...❆❆
~~~
...this bunny is feeling happy to be sleeping w/ her momma's
"Strawberry Shortcake" pillow case..it is probably 38 years old and a little thin...
~~~

...nothing better than drinking a cup of hot tea during a hair appt...
~~~
...this breaks my heart to see one of my littles sick...
...thankful it's an ear infection, not covid...🙏🙏
...this Junie, for now, is feeling better...
...hoping the amoxicillin has kicked in...
~~~

...the bunny loves her bell bottoms, but also is in love with her sweater from Nonni...
~~~
...She is excited to see Nichol...always the best hair trims...
...today they went straight,. and she loves it...
...What I would give to have curly hair and then be able to have the option to straighten it...
~~~

...Ruidoso is calling...just may have to plan a quick trip...
...This is taken by the Inn of the Mountain God's lake...
~~~
...the Junies love their new outfits...
...lil' A just went to Urgent Care for her ear and low grade temp...
...her ear still looks a little red and her rapid Covid test came back negative...
...not unusual for that test to come back negative, so they want her to treat it as
positive because she has all the symptoms, and stay home from school and friends until Tuesday..
...UGH!...
...this pic was taken @ their dad's...
...Cute snowman tree that he can leave up all winter...Thanks to Granny!...
~~~

...last day of quarantine, so the Junies are enjoying nature and Vitamin D...
~~~
...a Nonni day...
...excited to be home in her playroom...
...tomorrow the bunny starts "distance learning" for the rest of the week b/c of covid...
~~
...her momma had already started on her assignment for the day since she had
morning cancellations due to covid...
...so this is when this nonni took over...
...the bunny made a science experiment making an erupting volcano...
~~
after her assignments were complete, we were free to do whatever...
...So, here we are playing Scrabble..
~~~

...The Junies started "distance learning" today...
...However, they are doing it from their momma's office b/c admin was required to be @ school...
~~
...The Junies were surprised by the cafeteria ladies w/ their fave school meal...
...eating in their momma's office...
~~~
...YES, distance learning stinks, sucks, along with all those other words...
...I pray that we will get through this season soon.
~
...this is it... 2022 Charcuterie Board...lol!
...It's not funny, but the truth...
...Fighting to keep our immune systems as healthy as possible...
~~~

...the Junies coming along riding their bicycles from Santa...
~~
...picking the Junies up to slumber @ Nonni & Poppi's to give momma a break...
~

...eating @ Beach House in Bristow...
...Lil' M showing us her 2nd missing tooth...
...She lost it during the night...woke up her momma saying "My tooth!  It's in my mouth!"...
~
...lil' A doesn't have a tooth even close to being loose...
...we remind her the bunny was 7 before losing one...
~~~
...Jan. 14th sunset...we have enjoyed several of these beauties lately...
...we have had several nice days with winter weather moving in tonight...
~~~

...we had a nice drive to Tulsa watching flakes of snow falling...

...ready for the snow to start coming down...
~~

...It's not much snow, but enough to get these 3 littles excited...
~~
...Inside day.... Ali is prepared  with experiments and crafts...

...making a snow storm using a jar, white paint mixed w/ water,  veggie oil and alka seltzer...
~~~
...change of scenery...went to Izzy's house to bake cupcakes...
~~~

...working on her map of states...
~~~
...It's a Nonni day for the bunny b/c her momma is working ...
...She hasn't been to Bristow in awhile, so I decided to bring her and the Junies home...
...Poppi had donuts and sausage rolls ready for the littles @ Subway...
...Since the bunny wasn't with us on Christmas, this is our Christmas pic together...
...(taken by Lil' A)...
...didn't take long for this big mess...
...They are great about picking up and putting everything where it belongs...
...it was a wonderful day to be outside...
...enjoying some outdoor time and absorbing Vitamin D...
...and Subway Blue Bell cotton candy ice cream...
~~~

...hair washed, baths taken and manicures done...
...ready for school tomorrow...
~~~
...The Junies are happy to be back in school...
...checking in w/ their momma...
~~~

...We had another decent winter day today, however, it's changing back to
real winter weather tomorrow...the next two days the highs will be in the 20's w/
freezing drizzle expected tomorrow...
...It's pretty normal to see bird feeders in everyone's yards during the winter; however,
less common to see water for birds...
...It can be challenging to keep water from freezing in the winter and birds need a
water source when everything is frozen...
...The Farmer's Almanac offered several suggestions, and these are the two I liked best...
(1)  Darken the Surface:  Darker surfaces absorb heat more efficiently.  So adding a few
black river rock or a black plate can help the water absorb heat and stay liquid...
(2)  Add an Icebreaker:  Breaking the thin films of ice that form on the surface will help
keep  the whole bath liquid.  Float a small ball in the basin and the wind will blow it across
the surface to break the ice.  A dark ball will also act as a small heat absorber for more
anti-freezing efficiency...
...Every drop of water you can offer to birds will be helpful...
~~~
...the Junies working on their "responsibility chart"...
...making their bed is one...
I don't even like making their beds...bunks are not easy...
~~~

...It's a Nonni day...
...a day we eat our after school snack in the car and change for dance...
~~~
...It's a COLD day...
~~
...Kindergarten "freezing water" experiment on a freezing day...
..."freezing point" is 32 degrees...
...After their water froze, they had to figure out how to rescue the polar bear
trapped in their ice...Such a cool experiment!...🥶
~~
...the Junies interacting w/ the Kids on the Block presentation about "Stranger Danger"...
~~~

...after school Nonni day...
...moving from one place to another...
~~~
...their momma got out of the shower and the Junies had a tea party set up...
...M says, ' We dressed for success" since we are having a tea party...😄
~~~

...This year's NFL divisional playoffs was the best ever...
...And, THIS. GAME!...OMGoodness!...
...Mahomes connected w/ Kelce on an eight yard touchdown pass to give
the KC Chiefs an overtime victory over the Bills...
...(the Chiefs scored  16 points in the final 1:02 of regulation and overtime)...

🏈🏈🏈

...lil' M is not feeling well...
...went to Urgent Care to be checked for Covid...
...checked out ok but does have a virus...🙏🙏
~~~
...Momma surprised her for pick up today...
...crafting while her momma fixes dinner...
~~~

...Aunt Sarah sent the Junies late Christmas gifts and home Covid test...
...who would have thought we would start having to keep these test in our medicine cabinet...
~~~
...Now, Lil' A is not feeling well...
...On their way for covid testing...it came back negative...
~~
...notice the pink eye...
~~
...She moved from her bed to their glider...🙏🙏
...Father God, it is heartbreaking to see our littles sick.  I pray in your divine grace to
help my innocent angles get back to what they do best...play, laugh, explore and fill
hearts of those around them with hope and joy...Thank you, Father!  Amen!!
~~
...new day and already asleep on the sofa after a short time of play...
...Adenovirus is what they have...sometimes takes up to 10 days to get past it...
~~~

...the doctor heard some fluid in one lung, so put her on a breathing treatment...
.~~~

...Our lil' bunny gets home w/ her momma and wakes up Saturday monring
vomiting and a temp of 101.3...Praying this is just a 24 hour virus...🙏🙏
...She was so happy the twins were better and was looking forward to playing with them...
~~~
...Shut in all week and better today...
...Decided to try a new activity w/ their neighbor friends...
...Junie A said, "it was the best day ever besides Abby's wedding."
...Junie M only liked it when it was her turn...lol!
~~~

...We had great weather today...ended w/ 70 degrees...
...Since the rock finally came in for the fireplace, it was a great day to start...
...lunch break..
...this is only the beginning...piece by piece...one rock at a time...
~~~
...momma's shopping buddy...stocking up for the predicted weather coming in...
...Lil' M chose to go to Izzy's and play w/ the bunny....
~~~

...So, thankful, our bunny had a short lived sick day...
...all 3 littles enjoying time w/ Ali's neighbor girls outdoors on Sunday...
...bikes, scooters, Barbie cars, rock chalk drawings and a healthy outdoor snack...
...a great way to end a week-end...
~~~
...Words from one of our meteorologist:...
..."Oklahoma is trying to squeeze as many seasons as possible into
the forecast this coming week"...
...70's on Monday, then ice and snow during the middle of the week...
...So, it's t-shirts, light jackets, heavy coats w/ gloves, stocking caps, warm socks and boots...
 ...We are ending the month of January just like it began but a little warmer...
...Now, to be ready for the forecast of sleet or ice and snow for the beginning of February...
...I love winter... wearing sweaters with boots, and blazing fires along w/ drinking hot apple cider...
~~~
...but, not the crazy, dangerous road conditions...drive safe friends...
~~~
...Mayor winter storm coming and we just had an
EARTHQUAKE...just now!  4.0-5.0! 😱
...Looking at the calendar makes me realize time is slipping by quickly...
...Hold your littles tight mom and dad and g' parents...
...Father, help me to treasure each moment w/ my loved ones and not trifle away the
new year you have placed before me!  Amen!!!
