May Memories.. 2020...

...May 1st is also known as May Day...
...In many parts of the world, it is a day when May Day baskets are filled with flowers or treats and left hanging on a neighbor's doorknob or doorstep...
...it's a celebration for the return of spring...
...Ali had the Junies making a paper May Day basket to fill with flowers to place on a neighbor's doorknob...They were excited to do this, but when it came time to leave,
 they had a change of heart and wanted to put it on their door...lol!...

~~~
Camera Roll...
...Ohhh, momma put out a new sensory bin...
...It's 'ocean life'...
...They loved making the water blue...
...The Junies can spend hours playing w/ these different bins...
..."Shelter in place" is being lifted today, May 1st.  Many think it is still too early, and I am one of them.  Woodland Hills Mall reopened in Tulsa and, unbelievably, from watching the news it looked like Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving!  Not all stores chose to open.  Dillard's was one of those.  We have chosen to continue with curbside pick up keeping inside dining closed in our Pizza Huts and  Subways to see how things move forward...
...my lil' "peace out" bunny...
~
"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you.  Not as the world gives do I give to you.  Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid."  John 14:27
...It's times like these that our faith is put to the test...the reality we face is tough...
...Courage and strength will shine through those who are trusting God in this difficult time...
  ...I am praying for us to embrace peace today and everyday....
...Share light and love...
~~~

~~~
...It's Fri-yay and movie night, which includes popcorn...
...Tonight, they are watching "Lady and the Tramp"...
~~~

...the Junies haven't seen their dad since the pandemic quarantine started...
...they were happy girls to see him...

...the four of them went to a lil' ice cream shop in Jenks...
...it's nice to be able to co-parent without issues...is that possible?...
...my prayer is that it can continue this way...

...Happy Heavenly 87th  Birthday...We love you!💓

Wildflower Run...
...The Bristow's Annual Wildflower Run started in 1988, but b/c of the Covid19 pandemic they have adapted it to "Wildflower Keep Your Distance Run 2020"...which means you are on your own to run the traditional route, circle the block, run the Bristow Nature Trail, or just Keep the Pace moving...
...Everyone who post their pic or time on their webpage, $5.00 will be donated to Bristow Social Services...
...My Story...
  ...For the past few years, I have thought I would ease into jogging to prepare for Bristow's Annual 5K Wildflower Run.  Uhmmmm....never got it done.  Last week, I received a challenge from a friend or a friend of Ali's.  I don't turn down challenges! 😲  So, today, I got er' done...the best I could...I started @ 12th/Cherry Street following the road around Lake Messena w/ a cut through "the walk around" at the top of the dreaded swimming pool hill and ended my run at 7th/Elm Street...
...time 30:06!  Good enough for me!!!...
~~
...Paul can't jog or walk a long distance since he broke his leg in November; however he can push a lawn mower for more than an hour! 😰...
...Here's to my husband  "keeping the pace" Wildflower Run 2020!...

...always enjoyable to have their friends from the past w/ us...

...Love. This...
...God blessed me with two amazing girls...independent & strong..
...Then, gave me three beautiful littles.  This momma is thankful...
💓💓...My heart is full...💓💓💓
...Father, I pray that you protect my daughters and their littles:  physically, emotionally, spiritually and in any needed way.  I ask that you fill their hearts with peace and your love.  Thank you, Father, for keeping them safe.  Amen!...

Last day of school for our bunny...

..It wasn't  the last day we envisioned ending the year when school started... but our lil' bunny made it, and it was an awesome year for her....
...This pandemic that started a few days before spring break changed so many things...
...She was happy her momma was off work and could spend some extra days with her at home...
...Being an only child and being quarantined,  she missed her classmates more than anything...
...I am more than happy she has loved school...

...Sharing her favorite thing she liked about school, which was playing on the playground w/ her friends..
….and sharing her favorite toy being her American Girl doll...

...saying "goodbye" through the virtual class online was sad...

 ...left pic:  First day!...right pic...last day of distance learning...
...Now...Summer is waiting!...
 ~~~
Camera roll...
...This quail survived when he and his mate flew into our living room window...
...I was in the clubroom and literally thought someone was breaking a window to get in...
...the female immediately went limp and this guy fluttered across the yard twice before I could catch him...
...I had no idea what to do, so I wrapped them both in a towel and took them to our neighbors that have a barnyard.  Mr. Roberts very politely buried the female, and they caged the male to watch him.  On this day, they said he was doing great, so I am assuming they released him back to nature...
...I researched and read that mated pairs spend much time exploring territory...
~~~

...So, when you DON'T have a sibling, your pet becomes your snuggle buddy to dress up...
...good thing, Char Char is good natured...she can do anything w/ him...
...no worries, the mask was on only long enough for a pic to remind us of the pandemic...

Memorial Day...

...No freedom is free.  Today on this Memorial Day, take a moment to remember our fallen service members, and the loved ones left behind.  We honor and remember the heroes who selflessly made the ultimate sacrifice, and we pray for their families, and loved ones today.
..."Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends."  John 15:13...
