...Heart disease is the leading cause of death for men and women in the US...

...Educate yourself on the danger of heart disease and get on track to better heart health...

...Healthy habits is one of the most precious gifts we can give our children...

...Being a teacher, I have seen a troubling emergence of childhood obesity...

Today, about one of three American kids and teens are overweight or OBESE...

We need to be encouraging our children to develop healthy lifestyles at the youngest possible age... The age when they learn and build daily habits that can last a lifetime. Many of these habits, like the food and beverages they consume and the amount of physical activity they get, can have a profound effect on the quality of their lives and the likelihood of developing major illnesses later in their life...

...It is important to get kids off to the healthiest possible start...

There are also psychological effects caused by obesity...overweight, obese children are more prone to have low self-esteem, negative body image and depression.

...We don't have to be perfect all the time but it is important to be good role models...
