Winter has definitely moved into the neighborhood...

...definition of winter:  below zero temps, falling snow,

blustery high winds, layers of clothes, black ice, school closings,  hoping not to fall down...if and when you try to look up, even for a second, one has to hurry before your eyelashes freeze off....or better yet

 YEP...I would say it is COLD outside...

 Going back to the latter part of December when we went to Texas for my aunt and uncle's 70th anniversary.

...the bunny princess is 7 months...

...We are blessed...she fills our lives with sunshine and our hearts with love & joy....!

...Yep, she is growing up..(tear)...

...waiting to be served at Nibbles...one of our favorite Saturday lunch hangouts...a nice, quaint, eclectic gem close to our favorite children's boutique...

January 12th...

I would consider today as bitter sweet.  I packed away  our Christmas décor and placed the trees in storage.  I could leave it out for another month but....until next Christmas season.... I know next Christmas will be a new adventure to be looking forward to, at least, one I haven't experienced in 32+ years.....the pitter patter of little feet dancing around the Christmas tree excited for Santa Claus to visit!

 And, yes, Santa Claus comes to our house!

Spring and summer eventually come back so just try to find and keep some kind of sunshine in your life during the winter....my sunshine is my sweet, princess bunny!

I know some of you are beginning to wonder if I have a husband....I do!

 ...and, he, too, can change gray, cloudy days into sunny ones....

 ...for now, he has been busy, busy, busy...

Our Subway in Holdenville is nearing completion.

He does take time out on Monday's and plays cards with the guys..

... appreciating  it is not a night where they play til all hours.  They begin their game at 6 pm and he's usually home by 9:15.

January 26th... 

...another cold, shivering kind of day in our neck of the woods...

....the word "excercise" reminds me I need to get back into my routine of workouts twice a week...It's been three years, so restarting a program is difficult for  my routine of  NOT doing anything...

...I need to keep this quote running through my mind...

February 2nd...

...a snowy, Oklahoma day on 'our 5 acre woods"... 

.."little cabin in the woods"...the cabin across the road from us...built around the same time period as the beginnings of our home in the late 1930's....

...noticing  the scroll of school closings as we are watching the Road to the Super Bowl...Jenks, Union, BA, Bixby, Tulsa...nope, not us....cuz' we are the MIGHTY Pirates!..

.lol...Well, we are mighty but maybe not that mighty....received the message at 7:22 pm..

..."no school tomorrow"...

.Quickly packing to drive to Tulsa to help with the my little princess! 

The turnpike was clear....our road was snow packed and slick.... patches of ice on state highway...good decision by the admin to cancel school for the kiddos that live on the country back roads.

SO, our winter continues... and how 'bout those SeaHAWKS!

 I spent two nights and days with the girls helping Lindsay and enjoying some "Nonni" time with my princess bunny.  Ones heart swells with love watching their baby sleep...looking so sweet and innocent...Then, your heart races when they don't sleep and you begin to feel like collapsing...Lindsay is having to work on bunny's nighttime sleeping pattern...that's sometimes hard when you don't like to hear them cry...just have to make sure they don't feel abandoned...sad to think how many babies may have this feeling and adults don't think about the effects it can have on  our littles' later lives.

I love a blazing fire...My husband laughs because he says it can be 70 degrees outside and I can still be burning the fireplace....There's just something about a cozy fire....so, last night when he mentioned going to bed, I wasn't really ready b/c the fire was still burning....he said it would  be burning in the morning....lol!  That never happens!

I wake up at 6:20 and come into the kitchen to start the keurig and shazamm....the fireplace is roaring...He had gotten up earlier to let Scout out so while he was waiting,  he restarted the fire....

...love my sweet husband...



...he warms my heart...
