Cornucopia full of Joy....

My heart is filled with joy and I am thankful.....

WE gathered at my brother and sister-in-law's  home for our Thanksgiving dinner.

We were missing Lindsay and Brett and my sister's family.
Brett and Linz in Grand Lake, Colorado..

Patti had planned a dance party competition (lol),  BUT.....we spent our time with the horses at the barn instead....

...my hunk of a man...

Ben and Ali

...the city slicker trying his arm at roping....

Ali petting the minature donkeys...

...neices and nephew...

That evening Paul and I decided to brave the crowd at Utica Square and went to  "Lights On".  We actually beat the crowd and got a sidewalk table at  Starbucks....
We had a great time people watching and listening to their conversations as the line got long, then longer while drinking our skinny Peppermint Mochas....!

Cherries for Paul....

Nov. 4th...
Special Wishes to my Husband on his Birthday....YOU are the "cherries".....in my life!

...The girls certainly have figured out how to score points  with Paul...they are always finding goodies to add to his birthday sacks...I've just got to brag on these girls of mine....They are so sweet and have always shown  just as much excitement shopping for Paul as they do for me on special occasions....Not only do they do that, the phone is ringing first thing in the morning to wish him a  "happy birthday".

His birthday is today but, we, more or less, celebrated yesterday.  Lindsay dropped by on her way to OKC to visit her best friend that just had twins.. Baby James  and Baby Lillian ..They are the cutest!....And, then, last night we joined Ali and Ben for a wedding at "the Barn".....friends from Metro were getting married.
...beautiful setting for a wedding and the weather was perfect...

I have a husband that is a 'meat and potato' kind of guy.....we almost never prepare a meal at home but since it was his birthday and we were home, I fixed what he liked....chicken fry with gravy, mashed potatoes and green beans....the sliced green pepper was picked today from our potted pepper plant..

Paul and my brother, Ron, share the same birth day...not year...lol!  ... love to both!

Ron with wife, Patti.....

It's been a wonderful day....!

NINE years...

...in Tiamo...
October 20, 2003...

Romance is always in the air at Tiamo...paradise in the heart of the Carribean...

Tiamo is a Carribean Resort nestled on a  cove accessible only by seaplane or boat....Arriving  by seaplane on the calm waters of the South Bight of South Andros Island....

... perfect, quiet, secluded tranquility...not connected by roads!...

...The beauty and serenity of the resort is unbelievable with fantastic sunsets...

It has 10 beautiful eco- friendly thatch roofed, beachside, open air bungalows hidden among swaying coconut and sea grape trees, raised up to greet the incoming ocean breeze.  Our eco-friendly bungalow...

The Bahamian Main lodge is the heart of Tiamo....Starting each day with a delicious, hearty, contintental breakfast, then lunch for two....In the evening,  enjoying a romantic dinner and drinks from the bar with all the guests on the island.........

Hammocks, beach chairs, good books and the sound of lapping waves from the turquiose waters are plentiful.

Snorkel the Andros Barrier Reefs with blue holes,  go kayaking, sailing,  bone fishing or travel the walking paths in hopes of seeing the "king" iguana.

...the Bluff...20 minute boat ride from Tiamo where we applied for our marriage license and met with our minister...
Tiamo oozes with charm,  rich history,  and authentic native culture...

One Year Anniversary @ Jarrett Farms Bed & Breakfast...

...as we have several times, spending last year's anniversary in Ruidoso, NM...

This year (2012)  for our 9th annniversary, we decided to take it easy....stay close to home....in fact, today we stayed home and did much needed work on our 5 acre woods....we had our anniversary dinner last night at SMOKE on Cherry Street....it's a unique restaurant venue with a wood fire grill, live music, cigar lounge if you choose to smoke, and it's mouth watering menu focus is from the local farmers market...from farm to table!  We enjoyed!!

To old memories and ones we've yet to make...
to my dearest husband!

                           XOXO.............
