Our "sleeping porch"....(the screened porch seen on the picture of the log cabin)..... for the previous owners it was a  Florida Sunroom....it now has roll down screens with roll out windows....perfect for sleeping in the spring or fall.

 Our Guest Powder Room:

When we bought our home, we knew it would need updating to make it perfect for our lifestyle.  Of course, we found a few surprises along the way...but, nothing that could not be fixed.  It looks like a combination of many styles.....mixing the old with the new.....rustic with the elegant.  The ultimate reason for our wanting this home was the location....FIVE ACRES dotted with many trees, azaleas, crepe myrtles and such.  We have an awesome view of the countryside from every window.

...the Morris' country home...

WELCOME to the Morris' during the winter holiday season.....Our dream became a reality as we began updating/remodeling with a lot of careful thought and consideration into every corner of this place called home on our Five Acre Woods.

Formal Country Home.....

Through the years, the three room log cabin was transformed into an formal 4200sf home, including a guest cottage, clubroom terrace with an expansive brick patio, outside bar and swimming pool.  Paul and I were married in the fall of 2003 and we were lucky enough for this beautiful home to be on the market when we began looking for "our" dream home in 2005.

Cabin in the Woods...early beginnings..

Three room log cabin built in the late 1930's.  This cabin actually was a summer home for the family that built it.  One would think 3 miles out of town would not be considered a getaway.  However, it gave them a place in the wooded countryside to relax and "cool off" from the severe summer heat.  In 1953, it was given to the previous owners as a wedding gift from an aunt of the bride.
